Erected in 1892 by Sultan Muhammed Shah Aga Khan III in Kalyani Nagar, the Aga Khan Palace is a majestic Italianate heritage monument surrounded by expansive manicured lawns. A site of profound national significance during the Indian freedom movement, it served as the internment prison for Mahatma Gandhi, Kasturba Gandhi, and Mahadev Desai, preserving their personal belongings and memorials.
